R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Natalie James of Waco and DeeAnn Hoffman of Robinson |
|
have been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society; and |
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is America's oldest |
|
and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic |
|
disciplines; membership in the society requires an invitation, |
|
nomination, and approval by a collegiate chapter, and only |
|
outstanding juniors and seniors who rank in the top 7.5 or 10 |
|
percent of their classes, respectively, may be admitted; and |
|
WHEREAS, With their selection, Ms. James and Ms. Hoffman are |
|
among some 32,000 students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni |
|
to be initiated into the prestigious society each year; and |
|
WHEREAS, These fine young Texans have demonstrated hard work |
|
and a strong commitment to excellence in their educational |
|
endeavors, and they may indeed look forward to a future bright with |
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Natalie James and DeeAnn Hoffman on |
|
their induction into Phi Kappa Phi and extend to them sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. James and Ms. Hoffman as an expression of high |
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
