| WHEREAS, Luisandrea H. Diaz is graduating as the | ||
| valedictorian of the 2013 senior class of Foy H. Moody High School | ||
| in Corpus Christi; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
| intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the | ||
| highest academic standards; Ms. Diaz has demonstrated a thorough | ||
| understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being | ||
| English and foreign languages; in addition, she participated in | ||
| numerous extracurricular activities, including swimming, | ||
| taekwondo, the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, SkillsUSA, | ||
| and the academic decathlon; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Luis Miguel Diaz Guido | ||
| and Zeferino and Mariandrea Perez, Ms. Diaz will continue her | ||
| education at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, | ||
| Maryland, where she plans to study physics; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Luisandrea H. Diaz | ||
| has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and | ||
| classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and | ||
| commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless | ||
| opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be | ||
| it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Luisandrea H. Diaz, valedictorian | ||
| of the Foy H. Moody High School Class of 2013, and extend to her | ||
| sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next | ||
| exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Diaz as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
