R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Martha Rochford of El Paso has been selected as one |
|
of the 2013 Women of Distinction by the Texas Association of Mexican |
|
American Chambers of Commerce; and |
|
WHEREAS, Now in its second year, the TAMACC Women of |
|
Distinction awards program recognizes Latinas across the state for |
|
their outstanding professional accomplishments and civic |
|
contributions; and |
|
WHEREAS, An El Paso native with more than 25 years of |
|
commercial banking experience, Ms. Rochford is the area business |
|
banking manager for Wells Fargo; she joined the company in 2008 and |
|
now oversees the Border Business Banking team, which serves |
|
customers from Yuma, Arizona, to Brownsville; previously, she was |
|
an executive director for the International Trade group at JPMorgan |
|
Chase, and she worked for Coopers & Lybrand after beginning her |
|
career with MBank; and |
|
WHEREAS, This dynamic Texan holds both a bachelor's degree in |
|
accounting and a master's degree in international management; |
|
dedicated to her community, she serves on the boards of Project |
|
ARRIBA and the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; she is also a |
|
member of the Borderplex Alliance; and |
|
WHEREAS, Martha Rochford has won the high regard of |
|
innumerable people through her achievements in her field and her |
|
civic leadership, and she is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
|
accolade; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Martha |
|
Rochford on her selection as one of the 2013 Women of Distinction by |
|
the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Rochford as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
