H.R. No. 2498

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Francisco M. Sanchez has been named the 2022-2023
	Teacher of the Year at Eagle Pass High School; and
	WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
	become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
	who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
	in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Sanchez teaches audio/video technology and
	communications at Eagle Pass High School; first hired in 2009, he
	previously served as a math teacher; and
	WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Sanchez is the director
	of Eagle Public Radio and a codirector of Cine De Mayo Film
	Festival; in addition, he is a member of Redeemer Episcopal Church,
	the Eagle Pass Digital Arts Society board, and the Houston-Louis
	Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation advisory board, and he
	has been involved with several honor societies; he holds bachelor's
	degrees in mathematics and in history as well as an associate's
	degree in secondary education; and
	WHEREAS, Francisco Sanchez exemplifies the passion,
	determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
	best teachers, and he has set a standard of excellence to which all
	in his profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Francisco M. Sanchez on his
	selection as the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year at Eagle Pass High
	School and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
	with his important work; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Mr. Sanchez as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
