R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Willy Alberto Solis has distinguished himself
  through a decade of dedicated service as a firefighter for several
  departments in the Fort Bend County area; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Solis joined the Stafford Fire Department in
  2013, and the following year, he took on additional roles with the
  Beasley and Richmond Fire Departments; he later became a member of
  the Northeast Fort Bend County Fire Department, where he gained
  experience working with emergency service districts; in
  April 2019, he was promoted to lieutenant of the Richmond Fire
  Department, and his leadership has greatly benefited the
  organization in the years since; moreover, he joined the Fulshear
  Simonton Fire Department in August 2022, and he has further
  distinguished himself through his exemplary efforts with that
  agency; along the way, he has served as an instructor with Fire
  Academy Online; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to responding to emergencies,
  Lieutenant Solis has played an instrumental role in providing
  assistance to other departments, maintaining equipment, and
  training and mentoring colleagues; he has also used his bilingual
  skills to better serve the Spanish-speaking community, and his
  talents as a firehouse chef are widely appreciated; and
         WHEREAS, Prior to becoming a firefighter, Lieutenant Solis
  completed fire training at Wharton County Junior College in 2012
  and the emergency medical technician course in 2013; he later
  attended a number of advanced training programs with the Texas
  Commission on Fire Protection and the Texas A&M Engineering
  Extension Service; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his career as a first responder, Willy
  Solis has worked to ensure the safety and well-being of his fellow
  citizens, and he may reflect with pride on his many achievements;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Willy Alberto Solis for his 10 years of
  service as a firefighter in the Fort Bend County area and extend to
  him sincere best wishes for continued success in his important
  work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Lieutenant Solis as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
