R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
  the loss of Yusef A. Mohamed of McAllen, who passed away on January
  8, 2015, at the age of 27; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Dr. N. Carlos Mohamed and Teresa Mohamed,
  Yusef Mohamed was born in McAllen on May 6, 1987; he graduated from
  Trinity University with a biology degree in 2009, and went on to
  attend Harvard University, where he received his master's degree;
  Mr. Mohamed worked for The University of Texas Health Science
  Center in McAllen as a research consultant in the Department of
  Family and Community Medicine; passionate about science and
  medicine, he planned to follow in the footsteps of his father and
  two of his siblings and make his career in the health care field;
  and
         WHEREAS, A devoted son, brother, and uncle, Mr. Mohamed
  brightened the lives of all who knew him with his radiant smile and
  his readiness to help others wherever he could; in his leisure time,
  he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and spending time on his family's
  ranch; he also delighted in firing up his grill and preparing
  wonderful meals for his family and friends; and
         WHEREAS, While the life of Yusef Mohamed ended far too soon,
  those fortunate enough to have known him will remember his warmth,
  compassion, and luminous spirit, and he will forever hold a
  treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Yusef A. Mohamed and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his mother,
  Teresa Mohamed; to his siblings, Dr. Carlos Mohamed and his wife,
  Paulina, Dr. Samira Rodriguez and her husband, Filiberto, and
  Suleima Cepeda and her husband, Daniel; to his nieces and nephews,
  Carlos Andres, Isabel, and Alina Mohamed, Samira and Filiberto
  Rodriguez, and Valentina Cepeda; to his grandparents, Ricardo and
  Nora Torres; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Yusef A.
  Mohamed.
