| WHEREAS, Isidro Gonzales has served with distinction as | ||
| Democratic Party precinct chair of Precinct 4006 in House District | ||
| 95; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their | ||
| party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better | ||
| state and nation for today's citizenry and for generations to come; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, | ||
| individuals must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs | ||
| play an important role in the election process; their efforts to | ||
| inspire voters to support their party's candidates are part of a | ||
| proud and vital political tradition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity | ||
| to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy | ||
| toward promoting such goals of the Democratic Party as representing | ||
| the interests of working families, fighting for equal | ||
| opportunities, and advancing a more just and inclusive society; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Isidro Gonzales for | ||
| serving as Democratic Party precinct chair of Precinct 4006 in | ||
| House District 95 and extend to this dedicated community leader | ||
| sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Isidro Gonzales as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
