| WHEREAS, Hira Saleem has ably served her fellow Texans as a | ||
| legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner | ||
| during the 85th Legislative Session; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Saleem has provided | ||
| vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; | ||
| in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public | ||
| service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the | ||
| issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A senior at The University of Texas at Dallas, | ||
| Ms. Saleem is pursuing a double major in finance and | ||
| entrepreneurship, and she has attained a number of honors and | ||
| awards, including the Academic Excellence and Dean's Scholarships; | ||
| she has also participated in the Professional Program in Finance, | ||
| Alternative Spring Break, and an International Undergraduate Study | ||
| Program in Germany; she has previously completed internships with | ||
| Textron Specialized Vehicles and Bell Helicopter, and following the | ||
| legislative session, she will intern at Comcast's global | ||
| headquarters in Philadelphia; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her | ||
| duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is | ||
| indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Hira Saleem for her service as a | ||
| legislative aide in the office of State Representative Chris Turner | ||
| and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all | ||
| her endeavors; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Saleem as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
