R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The loved ones of C. W. Williams of Shepherd were |
|
greatly saddened by his passing on April 8, 2013, at the age of 79; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Bastrop, C. W. Williams was born on |
|
October 11, 1933, to Charlie and Ilester Williams; in his youth, he |
|
attended local public schools and became a member of the Church of |
|
God in Christ; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Williams served as a source of inspiration to |
|
his 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, and |
|
he was the devoted husband of Evangelist Mary L. Williams; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, memories of this |
|
beloved man will be forever treasured by all those who were |
|
fortunate to share in the richness of his life; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of C. W. Williams and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Mary L. Williams; to his children, Sharon Bennett, Jamerey |
|
Hamilton, Larry Pope and his wife, Carolyn, and Lawrence Demps and |
|
his wife, Linda; to his siblings, Ileste Williams, Mary Haywood, |
|
and Joyce and Edward Williams; to his sisters-in-law, Patricia |
|
Carr, Elenor Davison, Karen Wilkerson, Dorothy Dunahoe, Odessa |
|
Cross, and Shirley Belcher; to his grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of C. W. |
|
Williams. |
