WHEREAS, Jarrian Roberts of the Clarksville High School Blue | ||
Tigers has been chosen for the Texas Association of Basketball | ||
Coaches 1A Division 1 All-State Team; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Roberts is a 16-year-old junior who has lettered | ||
in four sports; apart from basketball, he is an All-State football | ||
player, a regional qualifier in shot put, and an All-District | ||
pitcher in baseball; he has been a varsity competitor since his | ||
freshman year in high school; and | ||
WHEREAS, The son of Ricky and Lanetta Roberts, Jarrian | ||
Roberts began playing T-ball at the age of three; in addition to his | ||
participation in sports, this outstanding young Texan works in a | ||
landscaping business; he is also the light and sound technician for | ||
the one-act play theater group at Clarksville High; and | ||
WHEREAS, With his combination of talent and dedication, | ||
Jarrian Roberts has proven himself an athlete of exceptional | ||
ability, and he has earned the respect of his teammates and | ||
opponents alike; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby honor Jarrian Roberts on his selection as a | ||
member of the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches 1A Division 1 | ||
All-State Team and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; | ||
and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Roberts as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
