WHEREAS, Detective Ronald L. Iscaro retired from the Dallas | ||
Police Department on May 2, 2017, drawing to a close a notable | ||
tenure that spanned three and a half decades; and | ||
WHEREAS, Ron Iscaro joined the department as a police officer | ||
on April 5, 1982, and he went on to earn promotion to detective; at | ||
the time of his retirement, he was assigned to the Northeast | ||
Investigative Unit; and | ||
WHEREAS, A highly decorated peace officer, Mr. Iscaro was | ||
accorded the Theodore Roosevelt Award and the Police Shield Award | ||
after being shot while on duty in 1983, and over the years he also | ||
received 19 commendations; he further distinguished himself as a | ||
member of the Dallas Police Choir, singing at area nursing homes and | ||
rehabilitation centers, and he plans to accompany the ensemble to | ||
Washington, D.C., later this year to perform a tribute to police | ||
officers killed in the line of duty; in all his endeavors, he enjoys | ||
the love and support of his wife, Ann; and | ||
WHEREAS, Ron Iscaro exemplified the highest ideals of the law | ||
enforcement profession throughout his career, and his unwavering | ||
dedication to the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens has | ||
earned him the lasting respect and admiration of all who know him; | ||
now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronald L. Iscaro on his retirement | ||
from the Dallas Police Department and extend to him sincere best | ||
wishes for continued happiness and fulfillment; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Detective Iscaro as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
