R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The eBridge Center for Business and
  Commercialization is making important contributions to the
  economic vitality of Brownsville and the Rio Grande Valley; and
         WHEREAS, One of the largest startup incubators and
  entrepreneurial resource centers in the Rio Grande Valley, the
  eBridge Center works to commercialize scalable businesses, create
  local jobs, establish entrepreneurial equity, and develop an open
  and inclusive ecosystem for all entrepreneurs; and
         WHEREAS, The eBridge Center offers business incubation
  programming from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
  Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center, and it encompasses
  a U.S. Patent and Trademark Resource Center, the Small Business
  Development Center, the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center,
  Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Veterans Business
  Outreach Center, Nonprofit Resource Center, and the Blueprint Lab
  Prototyping Space for research and development of emerging
  industries; in addition, the eBridge Center has received a Soft
  Landings designation from InBIA, and it is home to the StartUp Texas
  Accelerator Program; and
         WHEREAS, The establishment of the eBridge Center for Business
  and Commercialization was made possible through a collaborative
  partnership between the Brownsville Community Improvement
  Corporation, The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, the City of
  Brownsville, the United States Economic Development
  Administration, the United States Small Business Administration,
  and the Lower Rio Grande Valley Development Council; and
         WHEREAS, The eBridge Center for Business and
  Commercialization has benefited the community by providing
  essential support to area businesses and entrepreneurs, and the
  organization is indeed deserving of special recognition for its
  many achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize the eBridge Center for Business and
  Commercialization for its contributions to the Brownsville and Rio
  Grande Valley communities and extend to all those associated with
  the organization sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the eBridge Center as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
