R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Aimee Lynn Loredo has been presented with an |
|
Outstanding Award from the Student Support Services Teacher Prep |
|
Program at Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Teacher Prep Program is part of the university's |
|
Programs for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which |
|
furthers the goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to |
|
low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students; in |
|
receiving an Outstanding Award, Ms. Loredo was recognized for |
|
excelling academically; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Miami, Florida, Ms. Loredo is a senior |
|
studying mathematics education for grades four through eight, and, |
|
as the first Teacher Prep Program participant to engage in |
|
mentoring, she is also guiding a sophomore in the same field of |
|
study; she has been inducted into the TAMU--CC chapter of the |
|
National Society for Leadership and Success; after beginning her |
|
teaching career, she hopes to pursue a master's degree in |
|
curriculum design; and |
|
WHEREAS, Aimee Loredo is indeed deserving of this prestigious |
|
honor, and she may look forward to a future bright with promise; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aimee Lynn Loredo on her receipt of |
|
an SSS Teacher Prep Program Outstanding Award and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Loredo as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
