R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Rick Smith was elected as the Place 8 representative |
|
|
on the Plano City Council in June 2017; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Plano for more than three decades, |
|
|
Rick Smith serves as president of Advanced Home Theater Systems, |
|
|
which he founded in 1995; prior to starting his own company, he |
|
|
worked in the business development sector of the health care |
|
|
industry; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Smith has further contributed to his community |
|
|
as a member of the Plano Citizens Police Academy Alumni |
|
|
Association, Citizens Assisting Plano Police, and the Community |
|
|
Emergency Response Team, and he is a graduate of the Plano Citizens |
|
|
Academy as well as the Collin County Citizens Sheriff's Academy; |
|
|
moreover, he shares his time and expertise with the boards of his |
|
|
homeowner's association and AARP Chapter 2304; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Appreciative of Plano's exceptional potential, Rick |
|
|
Smith is committed to making economic opportunity and a high |
|
|
quality of life available to all its citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Rick Smith on |
|
|
his election to the Plano City Council and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for a successful tenure; and, be it further |
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
