WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may | ||
temper the profound sadness felt by the friends and family of Joe M. | ||
Rodriguez, who passed away on April 3, 2011, at the age of 71; and | ||
WHEREAS, "Dagga" Rodriguez was born on February 19, 1940, to | ||
Ignacio Rodriguez and Jovita G. Munis; the owner of a family | ||
business for many years, he later worked at Walmart in Bellmead | ||
until retiring; and | ||
WHEREAS, A free-spirited individual who touched many lives | ||
with his kindness and generosity, Joe Rodriguez is deeply missed by | ||
all who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joe M. Rodriguez and | ||
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his | ||
brothers, Henry M. Rodriguez and Ignacio M. Rodriguez, Jr., and his | ||
wife, Thomasa; to his longtime beloved friend and companion, Josie | ||
D. Garcia; to his nieces and nephews; and to his other relatives and | ||
friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joe M. | ||
Rodriguez. | ||
