| WHEREAS, Retama Manor Nursing Center is hosting the Robstown | ||
| Community Health Fair on May 14, 2015, in conjunction with National | ||
| Nursing Home Week 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established by the American Health Care Association | ||
| in 1967, National Nursing Home Week begins every year on Mother's | ||
| Day, and during this festive period, nursing homes and other | ||
| long-term care communities across the nation highlight the skilled | ||
| and compassionate care they provide to the elderly and disabled and | ||
| celebrate their ties with their communities; this year's theme is | ||
| "Bring on the Fiesta!"; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1969, Retama Manor Nursing Center has | ||
| been providing quality nursing care and rehabilitation services to | ||
| the families of Robstown for more than 45 years, and its health fair | ||
| offers local residents a fine opportunity to view the center's work | ||
| firsthand; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The communities of Texas are strengthened by the | ||
| honor and respect they show the elderly and disabled, and National | ||
| Nursing Home Week is a fitting time to commend those facilities and | ||
| caregivers who play such a critical role in enhancing their quality | ||
| of life; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commemorate the Robstown Community Health Fair | ||
| and extend to the staff and residents of Retama Manor Nursing Center | ||
| sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable event; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Retama Manor Nursing Center as an expression of high | ||
| regard by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
