R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Myranda Flores, a student at West Oso High School,
was recognized as a recipient of the Education to Employment
Partners Scholarship at the annual E2E meeting on April 19, 2017;
and
WHEREAS, To be eligible for this scholarship, students must
be enrolled in a member school district, and honorees are selected
based on the strength of their application and on a personal
statement describing their goals for the future; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from high school, this outstanding
young Texan plans to continue her education at Texas A&M
University--College Station, where she will study psychology; and
WHEREAS, A fitting recipient of this notable honor, Myranda
Flores has demonstrated determination and perseverance in the
pursuit of her goals, and she may indeed look forward to a future
bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Myranda Flores on her receipt of a
2017 Education to Employment Partners Scholarship and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
