WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Sharon Ann Thompson of | ||
Kyle were deeply saddened by her passing on October 23, 2020, at the | ||
age of 72; and | ||
WHEREAS, The daughter of Edmund Mueller and Mildred Huck | ||
Mueller, the former Sharon Mueller was born in Cuero on October 13, | ||
1948, and grew up with a brother, Gary, and two sisters, Sandra and | ||
Lerna; she graduated from Nordheim High School and attended | ||
Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin; for many years, she worked | ||
as a secretary and in office supervisory positions; calm and | ||
caring, she was always ready to lend colleagues a sympathetic ear, | ||
and she never had a cross word for anyone; she received the Superior | ||
Service Award from Texas A&M University during her time as | ||
assistant office manager of a Texas A&M AgriLife District Office; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, She married Jeff Thompson in December 1979, and she | ||
provided steadfast support in his work as pastor of Lutheran | ||
congregations in Nordheim, Runge, Fredericksburg, Robstown, Cuero, | ||
and Wimberley; devoted to her family, she was the proud mother of | ||
six children, Barbara, Bruce, Brian, Brent, Jennifer, and | ||
Christopher; she was eventually blessed with eight grandchildren, | ||
Christen, Cody, David, Jessica, Tristan, Elizabeth, Ethne, and Sam, | ||
and two great-grandchildren, Taryn and Levi; in her free time, she | ||
enjoyed reading, gardening, and crocheting; and | ||
WHEREAS, Sharon Thompson possessed a generosity of spirit | ||
that expressed itself in myriad ways, and she enriched the lives of | ||
countless people with her warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be | ||
it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of | ||
Sharon Ann Thompson and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn | ||
her passing; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Sharon | ||
Thompson. | ||
