R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The We Got Their Back to Back Cook-Off is taking |
|
|
place in Tomball on May 29 and 30, 2021; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sanctioned by Champions Barbecue Alliance as one of |
|
|
the organization's annual state cook-offs, this much anticipated |
|
|
event attracts accomplished pit masters from across Texas who put |
|
|
their culinary skills to the test as they vie to produce the |
|
|
tastiest entries in several different categories; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Guests have the opportunity to sample a variety of |
|
|
savory dishes while enjoying a fun, family-oriented day; all |
|
|
proceeds from the contest benefit VFW Post 2427; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their love of barbecue, and the |
|
|
We Got Their Back to Back Cook-Off is sure to offer everyone in |
|
|
attendance the chance to enjoy good food and good times while |
|
|
supporting a worthwhile cause; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commemorate the 2021 We Got Their Back to Back |
|
|
Cook-Off and extend to the organizers, contestants, and attendees |
|
|
sincere best wishes for a fun and successful event. |
