| WHEREAS, Ethan Wei-Ning Song has been named valedictorian of | ||
| the Class of 2019 at Wisdom High School in Houston, and he indeed | ||
| merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
| intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the | ||
| highest academic standards; Mr. Song has demonstrated a thorough | ||
| understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of | ||
| this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable | ||
| high school career; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Song plans to continue his education at Duke | ||
| University and major in mechanical engineering and computer | ||
| science; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During his years at Wisdom High School, Ethan | ||
| Wei-Ning Song has earned the respect and admiration of both his | ||
| teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and | ||
| commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and | ||
| promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, | ||
| be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Ethan Wei-Ning Song for earning the | ||
| title of valedictorian of the Class of 2019 at Wisdom High School | ||
| and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he | ||
| begins the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Song as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
