R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Ethan Wei-Ning Song has been named valedictorian of
  the Class of 2019 at Wisdom High School in Houston, and he indeed
  merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor;
  and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; Mr. Song has demonstrated a thorough
  understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of
  this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
  high school career; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Song plans to continue his education at Duke
  University and major in mechanical engineering and computer
  science; and
         WHEREAS, During his years at Wisdom High School, Ethan
  Wei-Ning Song has earned the respect and admiration of both his
  teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and
  commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and
  promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ethan Wei-Ning Song for earning the
  title of valedictorian of the Class of 2019 at Wisdom High School
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he
  begins the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Song as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
