| WHEREAS, Alejandra Zuniga has been named salutatorian of the | ||
| Class of 2017 at Caprock High School, and she indeed merits special | ||
| recognition for receiving this significant honor; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only | ||
| intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the | ||
| highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two | ||
| top-ranking students in her class, Ms. Zuniga demonstrated a | ||
| thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her | ||
| attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement | ||
| of a notable high school career; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The daughter of Maria Vaqurera and Victor Zuniga, | ||
| Ms. Zuniga gained the opportunity to address her fellow seniors at | ||
| commencement and to reflect on their shared history as well as their | ||
| hopes and ambitions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During her years at Caprock High, Alejandra Zuniga | ||
| earned the respect and admiration of both her teachers and | ||
| classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment | ||
| to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future | ||
| for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Alejandra | ||
| Zuniga, salutatorian of the Class of 2017 at Caprock High School, | ||
| and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she | ||
| begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Zuniga as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
