WHEREAS, Dabi Reyna, Jr., a senior at Robstown High School, | ||
has been named a recipient of a Presidential Series Scholarship | ||
from Texas A&M University--Kingsville; and | ||
WHEREAS, Awarded to students who have been accepted into | ||
A&M--Kingsville, Presidential Series Scholarships are bestowed on | ||
young men and women who rank in the top 25 percent of their senior | ||
class and who achieve high scores on college entrance exams; and | ||
WHEREAS, A migrant student and the child of a single-parent | ||
household, Mr. Reyna has impressed his teachers with his | ||
dedication, positive attitude, and academic ability; he carries a | ||
demanding course load of college preparatory courses, and he plans | ||
to pursue a degree in the biomedical field; and | ||
WHEREAS, Dabi Reyna has brought great credit to his school | ||
and his family, and his hard work and commitment to excellence have | ||
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young | ||
Texan; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Dabi Reyna, | ||
Jr., on receiving a Presidential Series Scholarship and extend to | ||
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Reyna as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. |
