HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Wait times at points of entry between the United
  States and the United Mexican States are considerable; and
         WHEREAS, Wait times result in a reduction in commercial and
  economic activity; and
         WHEREAS, Wait times produce a significant increase of
  negative environmental impacts in the state; and
         WHEREAS, Although Texas is a leader in trade relations in the
  international marketplace, eradication of wait times at points of
  entry would tremendously benefit the state, and every means of
  combating it should be explored; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas,
  hereby request the lieutenant governor and the speaker of the house
  of representatives to create a joint interim committee to study the
  effects on international trade on wait times at points of entry
  between the United States and the United Mexican States; and be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That the committee submit a full report including
  findings and recommendations, to the 84th Texas Legislature when it
  convenes in January, 2015.
