BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 662, Government Code, is | ||
amended by adding Section 662.111 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 662.111. SEXUAL ASSAULT AWARENESS MONTH. (a) April is | ||
Sexual Assault Awareness Month to increase awareness and prevention | ||
of sexual assault. | ||
(b) Sexual Assault Awareness Month may be regularly | ||
observed through appropriate activities in public schools and other | ||
places to increase awareness and prevention of sexual assault. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
