| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, C | ||
| hapter 418, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 418.052 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 418.052. STATE HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN. The division | ||
| shall include in the state hazard mitigation plan submitted under | ||
| Section 322, Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency | ||
| Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Section 5165), planning for a prompt | ||
| response to the impact of any adverse effects associated with | ||
| increased climate variability. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
