A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the consideration of increased climate variability in
  the state hazard mitigation plan.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, C
  hapter 418, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 418.052 to read as follows:
         Sec. 418.052.  STATE HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN.  The division
  shall include in the state hazard mitigation plan submitted under
  Section 322, Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency
  Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. Section 5165), planning for a prompt
  response to the impact of any adverse effects associated with
  increased climate variability.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
