A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to requirements for onsite power generation. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Sections 91.203(a), Natural Resources Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 91.203. AUTHORITY; RULES. (a) The commission shall: |
|
|
(1) supervise or monitor the construction, operation, |
|
|
maintenance, and closure of storage facilities; and, |
|
|
(2) require storage facilities to maintain onsite |
|
|
generation necessary to pump gas from the facility for a minimum of |
|
|
12 hours. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
