A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to reimbursement for home telemonitoring services under |
|
Medicaid. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Section 531.02176, Government Code, as amended |
|
by S.B. No. 219, Acts of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, |
|
2015, is amended to read as follows: |
|
Sec. 531.02176. EXPIRATION OF MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT FOR |
|
PROVISION OF HOME TELEMONITORING SERVICES. Notwithstanding any |
|
other law, the commission may not reimburse providers under |
|
Medicaid for the provision of home telemonitoring services on or |
|
after September 1, 2019 [2015]. |
|
SECTION 2. If before implementing any provision of this Act |
|
a state agency determines that a waiver or authorization from a |
|
federal agency is necessary for implementation of that provision, |
|
the agency affected by the provision shall request the waiver or |
|
authorization and may delay implementing that provision until the |
|
waiver or authorization is granted. |
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
