A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to an immunization rate tracking system for employees and
  residents of certain long-term care facilities.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 161, Health and Safety
  Code, is amended by adding Section 161.0053 to read as follows:
         Sec. 161.0053.  IMMUNIZATION RATE TRACKING SYSTEM FOR
  LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES. (a) In this section, "long-term care
  facility" means a facility licensed or regulated under Chapter 242,
  247, or 252. 
         (b)  A long-term care facility shall maintain a system to
  track the immunization rates of the facility's employees and
  residents. The system must include information on:
               (1)  the aggregate immunization rates of the facility's
  employees and residents; and
               (2)  changes to the aggregate immunization rates
  described by Subdivision (1).
         (c)  A long-term care facility on request shall provide the
  immunization rate data described by Subsection (b). The data
  provided by the facility may not in any manner identify an employee
  or resident.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
