A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the creation of an additional judicial district in Bell
  County.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 24.129(b), Government Code, is amended
  to read as follows:
         (b)  The 27th, 146th, 169th, 264th, [and] 426th, and 478th
  judicial districts have concurrent jurisdiction in Bell County.
         SECTION 2.  Subchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 24.60022 to read as follows:
         Sec. 24.60022.  478TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (BELL COUNTY). (a)
  The 478th Judicial District is composed of Bell County.
         (b)  The terms of the 478th District Court begin on the first
  Mondays in January, April, July, and October.
         (c)  Section 24.129, relating to the 27th District Court,
  contains provisions applicable to both that court and the 478th
  District Court.
         SECTION 3.  The 478th Judicial District is created on the
  effective date of this Act.
         SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect January 1, 2022.
