A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the availability of information from the federal
  Election Assistance Commission on the secretary of state's Internet
  website.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 31, Election Code, is
  amended by adding Section 31.013 to read as follows:
         Sec. 31.013.  AVAILABILITY OF FEDERALLY DERIVED INFORMATION
  REGARDING VOTER REGISTRATION. The secretary of state shall compile
  by county and post on the secretary's Internet website, in a
  searchable format, data derived from the information regarding
  voter registration reported by the Election Assistance Commission
  to Congress. The secretary of state shall adopt rules to implement
  this section.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
