relating to the expiration of a school marshal license issued or | ||
renewed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
(g) A person's license under this section expires on August | ||
31 following [ |
||
second anniversary of the date the commission licenses the person. | ||
A renewed school marshal license expires on August 31 [ |
||
license. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 1701.260(g), Occupations Code, as | ||
amended by this Act, applies to a license issued or renewed under | ||
that section regardless of whether the license was issued or | ||
renewed before, on, or after the effective date of this Act. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
