| relating to funding for school districts to provide inclusive and | ||
| accessible playgrounds. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 38, Education Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 38.039 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 38.039. INCLUSIVE AND ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUNDS. From | ||
| funds appropriated for the purpose or any other available funds, | ||
| the commissioner shall distribute funds to each school district to | ||
| provide at least one playground in the district that is inclusive | ||
| and accessible for students with disabilities. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2022-2023 | ||
| school year. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the | ||
| last day of the legislative session. | ||
