relating to the exemption of certain school districts from the | ||
placement and use of video cameras in certain self-contained | ||
classrooms or other settings providing special education services. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 29.022, Education Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (l) to read as follows: | ||
(l) This section does not apply to a school district that: | ||
(1) has an enrollment of fewer than 5,000 students; | ||
and | ||
(2) is located in a county with a population of less | ||
than 100,000. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
