| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 66.058, Election Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (i) to read as follows: | ||
| (i) An authority preserving election records under this | ||
| section shall store the records of each precinct separately in the | ||
| order in which the records are received. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
