Summary
As introduced, prohibits a hospital, during a period in which a disaster, emergency, or public health emergency for COVID-19 has been declared, from restricting a patient from having at least one family member present with the patient during the stay in the hospital as long as the family member tests negative for COVID-19 and is not exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or another virus or communicable disease. - Amends TCA Title 2; Title 4; Title 5; Title 6; Title 7; Title 8; Title 9; Title 29; Title 33; Title 37; Title 49; Title 50; Title 56; Title 58; Title 63; Title 68 and Title 71.
