Summary
As enacted, authorizes a county, municipality, metropolitan government, utility district, local education agency, or other local governmental entity to purchase gasoline or diesel fuel in the open market without public advertisement or competitive bidding when purchasing such products in bulk amounts would otherwise exceed applicable bid limits; authorizes such purchases from the department of general services' contract, where available. - Amends TCA Title 5, Chapter 14, Part 2 and Title 12, Chapter 3, Part 12.
