Summary

As introduced, clarifies that the primary duty of a conservator of the peace during unlawful assemblies, riots, or other breaches of the peace is to protect the lives and property of citizens and prohibits a local governmental official from issuing any order or directive that would prevent or hinder a law enforcement officer from protecting property and lives during those times. - Amends TCA Title 29, Chapter 20, Part 2 and Title 38, Chapter 3, Part 1.
