Summary

As enacted, adds to the provisions governing bail that following the arrest of a person for the offense of aggravated assault under circumstances in which the alleged victim of the offense is a domestic abuse victim, that the court or magistrate must make certain findings and, based on the findings, may extend the 12-hour hold period up to 24 hours after the time of arrest; revises other related provisions. - Amends TCA Title 36; Title 39 and Title 40.
