A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE HENRY MINIS UPON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT AS STAFF FOR THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE, TO COMMEND HIM FOR HIS THIRTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA SENATE AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS STATE, AND TO WISH HIM MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Henry Minis upon the occasion of his retirement on June 1, 2021; and

Whereas, Henry Minis began his career with the South Carolina Senate Housekeeping Staff on August 17, 2012. As a man dedicated to service, he is always busy; and

Whereas, prior to serving the Senate, Henry worked for the University of South Carolina for ten years; and

Whereas, Henry is married to his wife, Cathy. He has three children, three step-children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His family and friends know him as the greatest husband, friend, and companion anyone could ask for; and

Whereas, in his free time, Henry loves riding his bicycle, shopping, finding a good deal, working in the yard, and traveling; and

Whereas, Henry is a man of few words, but his love and care for his work and family speak volumes. He always has a smile and a kind word for everyone he meets; and

Whereas, Henry's Senate family appreciates the extraordinary care and commitment he has shown in serving the people and the State of South Carolina and wishes him many more years of health, happiness, and success in all of his future endeavors. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate Henry Minis upon the occasion of his retirement as staff for the South Carolina Senate, commend him for his thirteen years of service to the South Carolina Senate and the people of this State, and wish him much happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Henry Minis.
