A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR CAROL ANN CROWE, SPARTANBURG COUNTY LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT, TO THANK HER FOR HER MANY YEARS OF OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE, AND TO WISH HER MUCH HAPPINESS AND FULFILLMENT IN THE YEARS AHEAD.

Whereas, for nearly twenty years, the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation enjoyed the benefit of the dedication, experience, and leadership of Carol Ann Crowe, who retired from her post as the delegation's chief administrative assistant on December 31, 2015, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and taking with her the affection of every staff member and every member of the delegation; and

Whereas, a 1963 graduate of Albert Gallatin Senior High School in Point Marion, Pennsylvania, Carol Ann Crowe was hired as the administrative assistant for the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation on February 1, 1996; and

Whereas, over the nearly two decades of her service with the delegation, she was first promoted from the position of administrative assistant to that of senior administrative assistant on January 1, 1998. Later, gaining increasing responsibility, she became chief administrative assistant on July 5, 2008; and

Whereas, Carol came to the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation from the University of South Carolina Upstate (the University of South Carolina Spartanburg at the time), where she had worked since 1984; and

Whereas, in addition to her work for the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation and the University of South Carolina Upstate, she has served with the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Morganton, West Virginia, and H&R Block and Piedmont Realty of Spartanburg; and

Whereas, Carol believes in personal involvement with her community, and her convictions have led her to serve that community. She is active in her homeowners' association, Bradford Crossing, and as a woman of faith she serves her God at Bethlehem Baptist Church; and

Whereas, she finds strength for her labors in the strong support of her family: her husband, William Crowe; their twin son and daughter; and three grandchildren; and

Whereas, the House of Representatives, grateful for Carol Crowe's many years of faithfulness in serving the people of South Carolina, takes great pleasure in commending her for her contributions to this great State, especially in Spartanburg County. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Carol Ann Crowe, Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation chief administrative assistant, upon the occasion of her retirement, thank her for her many years of outstanding public service, and wish her much happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Carol Ann Crowe.
