AN ACT
Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, further providing for creditable nonschool service;
and making an inconsistent repeal.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 8304(b) of Title 24 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
§ 8304. Creditable nonschool service.

(b) Limitations on nonschool service.--Creditable nonschool
service credit shall be limited to:

(9) Previous service, not to exceed four years, as an
elected county official of any county in this Commonwealth
pursuant to a valid leave of absence as provided in section
1182 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as
the Public School Code of 1949.

Section 2. Section 1182 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.
30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is repealed
insofar as it is inconsistent with the addition of 24 Pa.C.S. §
8304(b)(9).
Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
