| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for resident license and fee |
3 | exemptions. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 2706(b)(1) and (3) of Title 34 of the |
7 | Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended and the section |
8 | is amended by adding a subsection to read: |
9 | § 2706. Resident license and fee exemptions. |

11 | (b) Disabled veterans.-- |
12 | (1) Any resident disabled veteran of any war or armed |
13 | conflict whose physical disability consists of the loss of |
14 | one or more limbs, or the loss of the use of one or more |
15 | limbs, or whose physical disability is considered [total] 40% |
16 | or greater and who meets all other qualifications of this |
17 | title and is otherwise mentally and physically fit, shall be |

1 | issued a regular hunting or furtaking license upon |
2 | application to any county treasurer, without the payment of |
3 | the license cost, if that person is domiciled in this |
4 | Commonwealth. The disabled veteran shall be entitled to |
5 | archery and muzzleloader privileges, without the payment of |
6 | the license cost, if that person is domiciled in this |
7 | Commonwealth. |

9 | (3) The applicant shall produce the applicant's |
10 | discharge papers and a Department of Veterans Affairs |
11 | disability certification to the effect that the applicant |
12 | suffers [total] 40% or greater physical disability. |

14 | (h) Senior citizens.--A senior citizen who holds any of the |
15 | following shall be entitled to archery and muzzleloader |
16 | privileges without the payment of the license cost: |
17 | (1) A senior resident hunting license or a senior |
18 | lifetime resident hunting license. |
19 | (2) A senior resident combination hunting and furtaking |
20 | license or a senior lifetime resident combination hunting and |
21 | furtaking license. |
22 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
