AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

2

Statutes, providing for Appalachian Trail plates.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

4

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

6

Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:

7

§ 1366.  Appalachian Trail plates.

8

The department, in consultation with the Appalachian Trail

9

Conservancy, shall design a special Appalachian Trail plate.

10

Upon application of any person, accompanied by a fee of $35

11

which shall be in addition to the annual registration fee, the

12

department shall issue the plate for a passenger car, motor

13

home, trailer or truck with a registered gross weight of not

14

more than 9,000 pounds. The Appalachian Trail Conservancy Fund

15

shall receive $15 of each additional fee for this plate.

16

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
