77th OREGON LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY--2013 Regular Session Enrolled Senate Bill 600 Sponsored by Senator HASS; Senators GEORGE, ROBLAN, STEINER HAYWARD, Representatives BARKER, READ CHAPTER ................ AN ACT Relating to school district boundaries; and declaring an emergency. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 2013 Act is added to and made a part of ORS chapter 330. + } SECTION 2. { + (1) The Beaverton School District and the Hillsboro School District shall enter into mediation within 30 days after the effective date of this 2013 Act to resolve any disputes about boundaries between the school districts. (2) Each school district participating in mediation under this section must act in good faith. (3) School districts that participate in mediation as provided by this section must submit a report related to the mediation to the interim legislative committees on education no later than November 1, 2013. + } SECTION 3. { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its passage. + } ---------- Passed by Senate April 17, 2013 Repassed by Senate July 6, 2013 .............................................................
