Directs Child Support Program and Division of Child Support of Department of Justice to submit report related to establishment, collection and enforcement of child support obligations from obligors who are sole proprietors, self-employed or independent contractors. Declares emergency, effective on passage. A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to child support enforcement; and declaring an emergency. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + No later than July 1, 2014, the Child Support Program described in ORS 180.345 and the Division of Child Support of the Department of Justice shall submit a report to the interim legislative committees that have authority over the subject area of domestic relations and child support. The report must include: (1) A summary of the current statutes and rules regarding the establishment, collection and enforcement of child support obligations from obligors who are sole proprietors, self-employed or independent contractors; and (2) Recommendations for legislative changes that may result in increased and more efficient establishment, collection and enforcement of child support obligations from obligors who are sole proprietors, self-employed or independent contractors. + } SECTION 2. { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its passage. + } ----------
