A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to the offense of driver operation with obstructing animal. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 2011 Act is added to and made a part of the Oregon Vehicle Code. + } SECTION 2. { + (1) A person commits the offense of driver operation with obstructing animal if the person is operating a vehicle when an animal is in the operator's lap. (2) The offense described in this section, driver operation with obstructing animal, is a Class D traffic violation. + } SECTION 3. { + Section 2 of this 2011 Act applies to offenses that occur on or after the effective date of this 2011 Act. + } ----------
