77th OREGON LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY--2013 Regular Session Enrolled House Bill 3316 Sponsored by Representative GORSEK; Representatives DAVIS, DEMBROW, HOYLE, PARRISH, RICHARDSON, Senator MONNES ANDERSON CHAPTER ................ AN ACT Relating to governance of Tri-Met; and declaring an emergency. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + (1) The Secretary of State shall conduct a performance audit, as defined in ORS 297.070, of the Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon, a mass transit district established under ORS 267.010 to 267.390. In addition to the determinations required in conducting a performance audit, the Secretary of State shall examine, report and make recommendations regarding any significant issues identified by the audit in relation to the governance of the district, including: (a) The immediate and long-term operational structure, practices and functions of the district; (b) The transparency of district operations, practices and functions; (c) The immediate and long-term fiscal condition of the district; and (d) Compliance with state and federal laws generally. (2) In addition to the reporting requirements of ORS 297.050 and 297.075, the Secretary of State shall submit the audit report to the Legislative Assembly in the manner required by ORS 192.245 on or before January 30, 2014. + } SECTION 2. { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect on its passage. + } ---------- Enrolled House Bill 3316 (HB 3316-B) Page 1 Passed by House June 27, 2013 .............................................................
