77th OREGON LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY--2013 Regular Session Enrolled House Bill 2729 Sponsored by Representative KENY-GUYER, Senator MONROE, Representative PARRISH; Representatives BAILEY, HUFFMAN, MCLANE, REARDON, TOMEI, WHISNANT, Senators BATES, ROBLAN, ROSENBAUM CHAPTER ................ AN ACT Relating to the United States Department of Agriculture's Afterschool Meal and Snack Program; appropriating money; and declaring an emergency. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropriated to the Department of Education, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2013, out of the General Fund, the amounts of: (1) $300,000 for the purpose of providing grants to school districts, government agencies and community groups as described in ORS 327.540 (2); and (2) $60,000 for the administration of the grant program described in ORS 327.540 (3). + } SECTION 2. { + This 2013 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2013 Act takes effect July 1, 2013. + } ---------- Passed by House June 27, 2013 .............................................................
