Summary

Directs Department of State Lands, in collaboration with State Marine Board, Department of Environmental Quality, Oregon State Police, Oregon State Sheriffs' Association and representative of local agency that delivers social services, to study issues related to removal and disposal of abandoned and derelict marine vessels in this state and to report results of study to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to natural resources no later than September 15, 2024. Directs Department of State Lands, in collaboration with State Marine Board, Department of Environmental Quality, Oregon State Police, Oregon State Sheriffs' Association and representative of local agency that delivers social services, to study issues related to removal and disposal of abandoned and derelict marine vessels in this state and to report results of study to interim committees of Legislative Assembly related to natural resources no later than September 15, 2024. Sunsets January 2, 2025. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
