Summary
Authorizes Department of Early Learning and Care to acquire ownership of, or enter into contract with public or private entity to use, up to three approximately one-quarter-acre parcels in Deschutes County to develop commercial-grade buildings suitable to function as child care facilities. Authorizes Department of Early Learning and Care to acquire ownership of, or enter into contract with public or private entity to use, up to three approximately one-quarter-acre parcels in Deschutes County to develop commercial-grade buildings suitable to function as child care facilities. Requires department to lease buildings at annual rate not to exceed 10 percent of market rate to person qualified to operate certified child care facility. Appropriates moneys from General Fund to department for specified purposes. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
